The 100 Million Credit March

It’s over! It’s finally over! Late last night I completed one of my long-time personal goals, which was to earn 100 million credits. I got the motivation to do this back when achievements were introduced in Rise of the Hutt Cartel. There was one achievement to earn 10 million credits. That wasn’t too hard to get, and I thought, maybe I could keep going. I set a goal of 20 million, and once I met that I set the goal to 30 million and so on.

I pursued this off and on and I closed out that expansion with 40 million credits. I continued working on it in Shadow of Revan, but not that vigorously. At the end of Shadow of Revan I was up to 60 million, but then I bought some stuff before Knights of the Fallen Empire and I dropped back down to 40 million. I can’t remember what I purchased, but it wasn’t a gradual drop down to 40 million.

In Knights of the Fallen Empire I decided to pursue my goal in earnest, and really put some effort into it. The changes to crew skills in 4.1 really motivated me. On March 16th, I decided to start tracking my daily net gains. I was at 83,969,799 credits at the start of that day, and I broke 100 million for the first time yesterday. For those of you doing the math, that’s 18 million in about 22 days. I only averaged about 840,000 per day, which really doesn’t sound like much, but that’s because I spent a lot of credits along the way. After all, what’s the point of having all of these credits if you don’t buy cool stuff for you characters, and buy I did.

A Nexu companion, the Sith Recluse armor set, an Unstable Arbiter’s Lightsaber, and a hot tub are just a small sampling of items I acquired along the way.

Most of the earnings came from crew skills and the GTN. Dailies and heroics were factors as well, and there were the occasional purchases from the Cartel Market, but the bulk of the credits came from crafting. I plan to start a series of posts where I talk about crew skills, the GTN, my experience with it, and things you can do earn some extra credits.

And with that, I’m off to start the 110 million credit march.

  1. I for one would be very interested to see your breakdown of how you made the credits with crew skills.

    1. I’ll try and do a post on that, but I pretty much make and sell MK-9 augment kits. They some of the most liquid items I’ve ever seen and I never have a problem selling them. I usually sell them in single units and I don’t always undercut my pricing. That’s how fast they sell. Sometimes I’ll list them for a little higher than the other seller because I know mine will get sold in short order.

I can usually make enough supply to make 1-2 million credits on a given day. We have one seller on our server who usually has 3-4 million worth of kits.

If you can consistently make and sell the kits, you can have a steady supply of credits coming in.
