Might Please

Today I wanted to write about an addOn that every Hunter should know about. It’s call PallyPower. Now I know what you’re thinking, isn’t PallyPower a mod that Paladins use to manage their raid buffs? Indeed it is. So why, as a Hunter, should you care about this?

Let’s flashback to Wednesday night. There was a small window on our realm where you could actually run an instance without things crashing. I was pulled in to help with a 10-man VoA run (By the way having a summoning stone and being able to fly into Wintergrasp is very nice).

Anyway we had a least three Pally’s in our group and as we were getting buffed I noticed that I had Kings and Wisdom, but not Might.

No problem, I kindly asked in Vent if I could get Might. There was some discussion as to who would be buffing that and I did notice one of the Paladins cast one of his blessings. I don’t know if it was Might, but I do know he wasn’t casting it on me.

I asked again in Vent if I could get Might. This time it was met the usual jibes of – “Like you really need it.” I love that stuff, but I also love Might which I still didn’t get.

Finally I typed my Might request in raid chat. This time over Vent I heard our tank say, “Pulling in 3-2-1.”

The moral of the story here is that if all the Paladins were using PallyPower I wouldn’t have to worry about any of this nonsense. So if you’re in a raid and struggling to get Pally buffs, please feel free to ask if all the Pally’s have PallyPower. Mention it to the raid leader. Have folks logout, download and install the mod before continuing.

Back in the days of Burning Crusade I raided with my Hunter and my Holy Pally. I used PallyPower, and I just can’t say enough good things about it. Below is a description taken from Curse.

“Pally Power is an add-on that provides an interactive and easy to use interface that allows you to control assignments of blessings for yourself and, if you are a party leader or an assistant, for other paladins in your group or raid. Pally Power supports six blessings: Blessing of Might, Wisdom, Salvation, Light, Kings and Sanctuary. You don’t need to be a paladin to control raid/party blessings.”

The mod makes buffing and managing buffs so easy. Once the blessing assignments are setup you just click the Class icon and everyone in that class gets your buff. It even tells you how much time you have before the buff runs out.

I guess we didn’t need Might after all.

  1. Now if only we can get an addon that says "THERE IS NO JUDGMENT OF WISDOM ON THE MOB, PUT IT UP YOU [censored]"

  2. Yeah, but then we'd get pallys installing addons that /yell "YOUR PET'S ON AGGRESSIVE", "HOW CAN YOU MANAGE TO PULL AGRO WHEN YOU HAVE FEIGN DEATH??", and "WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU WEARING YOUR PVP GEAR FOR?"

Maybe I'll get one that /yells "GET OVER YOURSELF AND SPEC SURVIVAL!" to any BM hunters I notice in the raid…
